Greenwood Charter Academy is the first ever, tuition-free, public charter school in the history of Greenwood County. Greenwood Charter Academy first opened for the 2023-2024 school year serving grades K-6. Greenwood Charter Academy will serve grades 4K-7 for the 2024-2025 school year. We already have plans to add the 8th grade for the 2025-2026 school year. Our state-of-the-art school campus is located directly behind the Greenwood Mall at 412 ByPass NW, Greenwood, SC 29649.

Our students and their personal and academic success is at the core of everything we do at Greenwood Charter Academy. At Greenwood Charter Academy we utilize the award-winning curriculum of Core Knowledge, Eureka Math, and Core Virtues. All age-appropriate residents of South Carolina may attend Greenwood Charter Academy, no matter where they live in the state.

Our students wear school uniforms that are available for purchase at the school. Our uniforms are cost effective and durable. Our students can leave behind the worry and stress of what they are wearing each day and simply focus on learning with their friends! Also, uniforms have shown a significantly ability to reduce bullying for all grade levels.
